Scott # CVP54 The single "U. S. Postage" 37¢ APC-Stamp This APC-Stamp first became available in April, 2004. This particular type could be purchased using the "buy stamps" option. One could purchase whatever denomination one wished using this option until about November, 2004, at which time this type became obsolete without notice. Net Price $ 5.75
Scott # CVP54, CVP54a, CVP54b, CVP54c, CVP54d These APC-Stamps come from what was then the "next generation" APCs, an acronym for "Automated Postal Center ." (Check out this link above for an interesting postal anecdote!) The first type (U. S. Postage) was available using the buy stamps option, and the latter 4 types were available using the "mail a package or letter" option. Net Price $ 34.95 / Set of 5
Scott # CVP54, CVP54a, CVP54b, CVP54c, CVP54d These APC-Stamps come from what was then the "next generation" APCs, an acronym for "Automated Postal Center ." (Check out this link above for an interesting postal anecdote!) The first type (U. S. Postage) was available using the buy stamps option, and the latter 4 types were available using the "mail a package or letter" option. This set contains the same Scott numbers as the prior set, the only difference being these are denominated 37¢ each, and as such constitutes a "value-priced" CVP54 to CVP54d set. Net Price $ 21.95 / Set of 5
Scott #s CVP55a, CVP55b, CVP55c, CVP55d with the famous 90210 Zip Code (I was never able to obtain CVP55 with "U. S. Postage" under the bar code, and am skeptical that this type exists.) These APC-Package-Stamps became available in April, 2004. One could purchase whatever denomination one wished using this option until about November, 2004, at which time this type (CVP55a through CVP55d became obsolete without notice. These sets are not for sale currently, since my supplies of these are quite low. However I can offer you a generic copy of either the first-class or express mail types at $12.50 each.
Scott #s CVP55a, CVP55b, CVP55c, CVP55d errors with missing inscriptions Set of 4 APC-Package-Stamp errors, missing the inscription under the bar code, the actual date of sale, the additional coding under the date of sale, the class of service normally found in the long horizontal box, the "ship to" along with the destination city and zip code. These were available in Indianpolis as of May 11, 2004, and apparently at some other locations, I have heard early on, before the APC(s) were correctly programmed. I would like to think that these error APC-package-stamps will be listed in the Scott Specialized catalog at some point. Net Price $ 24.95 / Set of 4
Scott #s CVP56, CVP56a, CVP56b, CVP56c with various interesting Zip Codes Set of 4 APC-Package-Stamp types with Imprints under the Denomination, namely First Class Mail (FCM), Priority Mail, Parcel Post and Express Mail. Net Price $ 14.50 / Set of 4
